The Loneliest G

I work graveyard shift in a 30-floor towering inferno in Los Angeles with a 5-floor subterranean parking structure that clanks against our prenatal pathetic excuse for a subway system (which doesn't stretch from East LA to West LA cuz the goddamn Santa Monica bourgies don't want the "criminal element" of latino East LA and black South Central pissin' in their Starbucks soy lattes).

Now, working graveyard in the City of Angels means that LA to me looks eternally like Michael Mann's Collateral -- meaning that when I soak up the expanse of the city at 3am from the 20th floor window, it's like looking down at the stars through a bottle of orange Crush.

And my G -- squattin' down there underground in an empty structure as the Mexican janitors float by it like ghosts (she-yat, who are we kidding; to corporate America they are ghosts) -- it's gotta be the loneliest G in the city.

Nicely written =) Keep it up. A poem with a G at its heart is the best poem around!

I can see why you chose kubrick as your handle.
