OEM LIP question

I'm planning on getting an OEM lip for my IP G35c from my Infinity Dealership (Costa Mesa/SoCal), just wondering how much you guys pay for parts+labor. Many Thanks!

Get it from everythingg35.com. The dealer charges ~$360 for the lip and that's a ripoff. I had mine installed at Nissan for $50, otherwise the dealer is going to charge you for 1-1.5 hours of labor @ $90/hr...

When you say nissan...do you mean at the nissan dealership.?....Then you go on to say "the" dealer will charge 90 an hour or 1-1.5 hrs..?

I think he meant the Infiniti dealer is going to charge more. Thus, go to a Nissan dealer for the install.

Bought the lip for $300 from EverythingG35 and installed myself. Easy to do.

+1

same here.. bought it from everythingg35.com and did the install in about 1~2 hours.. just need a jack and a drill and use the templates that come with the lip, and you're done..

Got mine from grubbs for $260 shipped, on special. Installed it myself. I found it really tedious with all the damn screws and clips, but saved on install charges. Thing is built like a tank. I scrape mine since my car is so low, no cracks, sagging, or structural damage.

Exactly I just know someone at the Nissan dealer that did it for me, but any dealer or body shop should be able to do it. The lip comes with instructions and is no rocket science to install. They did it on the side for me, that's why I wasn't charged $90/hr.. that's why you have to try to make friends everywhere you go

costa mesa quoted me something like 550+ for a lip+install when I took my car in for service once, they wanted somewhere around $400 for the lip and $150 for the install, I said no thanks

G35PM, Great deal on the lip spoiler - they are quoting $299 currently. How did you strike such a deal? Is there a discount code?

Yea thats about right, they wanted around $700 bucks for the lip+installation, I would do it myself but don't have any xperience with this kinda stuff, just don't want to take any chances screwing it up. Maybe on an older car.

There was a group buy at some point for under $300 shipped.

OCg35driver: just go to any dealer that has their own body shop, ask to talk to one of the guys, bring the lip and instructions and ask him for a quote if he did it for you on the side. That way I've never had to pay full price for anything done to any of my cars, ever!

I think there are plenty of forums posted by users that did the install themselves. You can probably even find some detailed instructions...
