New Tires!!!

Finally replaced the OEM Pilot Sports! Got 27K miles out of them, so I can't complain about the mileage, but the noise was increasingly disturbing since about 15K miles, and just about unbearable recently. They wore pretty evenly with the rears just about gone and the front with a little more tread life left on them. They must have aligned the car right at the factory because I never had an alignment in the 27K miles.

I replaced with new Pilot Sports. The new tires are, of course, quiet (for now) but surprisingly also seem to be riding a lot smoother.

How was the middle tread wear on the rears when you had them replaced? Were they even accross the tire or more worn on the middle treads? Did you ever consider the Avon 550s?

Yes the middle on the rear tires was worn more than the rest.

I went with the Pilot Sports again because everything I have seen still suggests they are the best and I found a good deal on them locally.
