Since I bought my car i've been getting around 13 MPG. Almost all of my driving is city, and a lot is in traffic. But I still thought i'd be getting AROUND the 18 they claimed for city driving. Not 5-6 under...

Traffic will do a number on your gas milage. That number they give is not in traffic, just city style driving. If you really are in traffic a lot 13mpg isn't too suprising. Just be really light with your right foot.

i used to get horrible gas mileage with the coupe.. however, i changed my driving habits and the MPG improved a little.. i did notice that after i put in some fuel injector, the mpg would increase but only for about 3-4 full tanks, then the MPG would drop a little.. our cars do guzzle a lot in traffic.. i've gotten up to 26 MPG now, but that's only because i'm doing about 70 highway /30 city driving now.. but before, i would average about 16-18..

i'm guessing you should just ease up on the accelerator and maybe use A/C a little less (if possible)..

if you're looking for good MPG, you definitely got the wrong car.. for me, the coupe is my daily driver and with gas prices, i'm seriously considering some hybrid or at least a much more fuel efficient car..

You'd be lucky to get 18 in the city with just light traffic........
For the conditions you describe, 13 is about right...IMHO.
Not what you want to hear, but these rides are thirsty...

With 100% city/traffic driving 18 mpg is almost impossible. When you combine city/traffic driving with a heavy foot and short trips and I can see 13 mpg. If you think something is wrong with your car, just take it on the highway, drive it lightly and see how much gas you burn.

I drive almost all city driving and I average 18.5 mpg. Just keep your foot out of it.
