changing bulbs

I changed the fog light and clearance light bulbs
with whiter versions today. Good news, you don't
have to take the wheels off.

1. turn on car and rotate tire to point outwards
2. jack up that side of the car for more work room (tire doesn't have to come off the ground)
3. remove screws and clips
4. replace bulbs and put things back together
5. repeat on other wheel.

enjoy,
rob

Re: changing bulbs

I bought blue tinted 194 bulbs by minimax for the clearance light (from midnightmoose.com)
and Sylvania SilverStars 9003 (H4) for the fog light (from sylvania's website).

The 194 bulb looks 100% better than stock and I'd really recommend it.

The H4 bulb is only slightly better than stock so I don't recommend it because of the price to value ratio.
I also bought H4 blue tinted bulbs by Max from midnightmoose.com. They looked much closer to the HID
color but I didn't like the "blue" color from the bulbs if you
look directly at them so I kept the silverstars instead.

In the end, I have a lot of "used once" bulbs from all my experimenting... Still looking for a better fog light option...

Re: changing bulbs

Rob,
Are you saying that the Silver Stars did not get rid of the yellow tint or were they not brighter than the stock. I had thought they would take care of both issues. I have found them for $30 a pair after rebate. Seem cheap enough if there is some gain.
Thanks Greg
