Sedan drivers - say 'Hi'

Why don't the sedan drivers ever turn their hands or give you thumbs up when they see a G35 coupe on the road. It seems like they check out your car when you are not looking, and quickly turn their heads away. There were a few that I wanted to give thumbs up, but those guys turned their heads quickly away. They didn't want to have anything to do with it. What's up with that?
I also noticed that a lot of coupe drivers are between 45 and 50. Maybe 4 out of 5 I've seen so far have been in that age range. I just saw another one today. What's up with that?

I wave when driving any of my cars.I'm 54 so maybe I'm going through a midlife crisis.

Most upper age folks I've seen in the G coupe never wave. Maybe it's a New Jersey style...

Re: Sedan drivers - say 'Hi'

That's where I work as well - North Jersey.
And I don't get a wave from G sedan drivers anywhere in New York area.
FX drivers and coupe drivers around central jersey are cool. One day I was even talking to another FX35 driver while driving 30MPH - we bought our cars from the same dealer. He was saying how awesome the coupe looks. He wanted to get it, but he was too big for it, so he went with the FX . Why can't everyone be like that?

I do enough of a head turn for coupe's (and 350's) to let their owners know I'm respecting. But a wave, I dunno just not my style. Now if I was out of my car at say a gas station with both of us parked, that's different for some reason, I'll talk all day long, go figure.

Re: Sedan drivers - say 'Hi'

Why do you guys care so much about the acknowledgement? I think more about the driver than the type of car. Here is an example (I have a black 6MT that looks pretty darn good with tinted windows and always shiny): Driving to work, I see a 60-ish lady in a g35 sedan. I look over, admiring her ride. She glances at me and registers nothing. Am I offended? No, she did not by the G for its looks or attention. On the way home one day, I pull up next to a Supra twin turbo. The young driver looks my way and gives me a big smile. Says nice ride - how do you like it? I say great, thanks, yours is sweet too. Are G sedan drivers asses and Supra drivers special? No. It is a matter of demographics, experience, and how your day is going. Don't freakin' worry about other people!!!!

city where im from no one does that kinda stuff. If some1 gave me a thumbs driving the same car i would think "who is this guy trying to be"

but glendale ca is a preety stuck up city. this town is full of benzs lexuss and bimmers. there is ALOTTT of Z's and G35s out here with the age range of 18-30

my boss has a Z my 3 friends now have G35s and i have one too (18-21 age range)

Re: Sedan drivers - say 'Hi'

Ironically, I usually get acknowledgements from the Z drivers, consistently too. I have yet to get one nod from another G driver. But then again, I still see very few other G coupes. Plenty G sedans though.

You live in Beverly Hills? Man, that's an awesome area, and Bell Air too. I was there last October. I wouldn't expect anyone turning their heads in that neighborhood .
