Steering

I know there is a TSB regarding what is described as the G35 coupe drifitng to the right - I have a question for anyone who has had that problem.

My car does not "drift" when I take my hands off of the wheel, but I have noted what seems to be the steering wheel center position being a little off. In other words, if I hold my steering wheel perfectly straight (level), my car tends to go slightly to the right. I have to hold the wheel about one click to the left of center to keep the car going straight. Of course the steering on this car is so tight, these steering wheel movements are very slight.
Is this condition I am describing the one that is covered by the TSB or a different problem. Or is it normal???.

Re: Steering

That's an alignment issue. Just make sure it happens on a 'level' road surface. the right lane usually slopes slightly to the right with the natural crowning of the road. Try driving in the left lane to see if you have to correct slightly to the right. If the alignment is off, they'll do it for your during the normal adjustment phase of your warranty.

Re: Steering

mine does something even more odd than that.

When the road is SLIGHTLY uneven, only when i brake to a stop, the car wants to move to that uneven side of the road, i mean, it REALLY wants to turn, the wheel turns about a 1/2 turn, which is ALOT. Note, this only happens when braking to a stop on a slightly banked road, keyword, SLIGHTLY. Do you think its a control arm TSB issue?
