Very sad Day... G35 got damaged.
What you see is actually the paint under the clear coat rippled and broken apart. The impact of the egg, didn't have enough weight to cause a dent (which actually would have been better, as you could have gotten it pushed out "dentless repair") instead the cars paint aborbed the impact and the end results is the infamous egg-crackle you have in the pics. It's very common! When we use to have our body shops, this was a common problem and you can only imagine the amount of suctomers that rolled in right after Halloween...
Anyhow, here's a few options you have. If you want it fixed 100%, you're going to have the whole section repainted. There's no easy fix to it. If you're on a budget and want a semi-fix, maybe like 50% better, a body shop (not detailer, as most don't even know how to properly wash a car let alone treat its paint), can buff out the section, spot spray it, buff and blend it in, and the clear it up again. With this process, you'll be able to get rid of the lines, but you'll most likley end up with a small patch like area that will be notiaceble from certain angles. It's the "poor mans" fix, but heck its better than what it is, so you need to ask yourself what kind of budget your on and another thing, will this happen again?
Is it worth fixing to brand new again, only to know that you've pizzed someone off so badly, they'll come back again and again (very common)?
Can you put the car in the garage? You can always get a car cover, but that get to be a bit annoying, not to mention you'll need an extra thick one to protect your car from eggs, and the thick ones arent usually all weather covers....
Sorry about what happen, and I don't mean to sound rude, but most acts of this nature aren't random, unless your whole block was hit, which I don't know if that was the case. Once again, having two body shops growing up, we often saw the very same customer come back in for the same problems (eggs, BB gun damage, and so on) only to find out months later, they cuaght a bunch of kids who this one customer of ours had called the cops on for throwing a loud party near by.
My advice, invest in a small (2 or 4 channel) closed circuit DVR setup and get some good color (with infared illuminators for night time use) cameras, and place them around your property over looking the area in question. You can hide them if you wish, but actually making them visable (just not accessable to reach) also will help deter such acts (as the culprit(s) will second guess doing the same act again twice if he or she knows they may end up on camera). Also it's a good idea to put motion activated lights around your driveway. Some even come with remote wirelress chimes, so when they sense motion, you be notified in your home. Another great device is something called "The Reporter" - It's a wireless motion / activity sensor, which buzzes to let you know someone, a car or whatever is at the end of your driveway. One last tool, is a device made specifically to catch vandals is a small battery operated digital camera with a built in motion sensor. All you have to do is simply place it in your car, on the dash, on the rear deck, wherever you feel it will better "see" such activity and arm ir via its remote. It will them (only under motion) begin to shoot a series of digital quality (2mgpx) images from anywhere from 5 to 30 images (user selected). You can them download the pics to your PC. Its easy to use, stays in standby mode till it sense motion, so battery life is spared, it can also be hooked up to your cars 12volt power supply.
All in all, you have some options to consider... Hope this helps...
