Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

That part is difficult. On my tint half doesn't look as good as the other half. I seen other tint jobs on G's the tinter did a nice job. I'm just to lazy to get it redone. Give it 3 days to dry, maybe it will turn out ok.

Yes I realized that now too, I also found out that the bubblish wasn't there after the tinting was freshly done, but now it's getting a bit more obvious to me, but for me I still think it's not a big deal for myself. And that is the lamination problem, ask the guys if U have life-time lamination guarantee...

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

Yeah I had this same exact problem!

I got my tint's done through an on site contractor that Warren Henry Infiniti in miami has. They came with a lifetime gurantee! The bubles weren't there at first when i came to pick-up and check the car but they are there now and seem to be becoming more prevalant every day!

Eventually i will get them replaced .. sometime this week prob.

will go darker too... here in FL especially in miami the cops don't really care, and everyone has illegal tints even old people! I saw an acura TL yesterday with limo tints accross the entire car, even the front windshield!

Hope you can get your's fixed ... Peace

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

so this is no problem? i should jus go ahead with the tinting process? i really dont want the back window to look ugly... i will be limo-ing it as well.. so it will be dark.. i drive a blk/ blk, so the limo will fit the windows nicely with the cars obsedian black

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

the back window shouldnt be a problem at all... as long as you bring it to a place that knows what theyre doing... i got mine done and it came out perfect

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

Got mine done the other day. If the installer knows what he is doing, they will get the tint to lay on the dot matrix right the first time. The installer I went to ended up laying the tint over the dot matrix, pulling it back, lightly sanding the dot matrix (to give it a little texture, then re-applying the tint. Looks perfect.

Make sure you have a warrenty on the installation.

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

Correct, it should not be a problem if the tint shop is good. I noticed that on my car they sanded the dots a little before applying the tint.
I used the new Huper Optic tint. It provides higher heat rejection without being so dark. The car looks like it came from the factory with it - even the back window dots!

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

I got my OB Coupe tinted too, The dot-matrix on the top of the back window is pretty hard to tint over. It looks ok now but when It starts to look like crap I plan on getting a piece of black vinal to go on the outside of the window and cover it up. I figure on a black car with tint it shouldn't look that bad. Also try using a piece of cardboard to smooth out the tint at the top sometimes that makes it look a little better. Good Luck.

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

Actually, my Tint guy used a piece of black vinal (viynal?) on the inside. It's perfectly invisible from the outside and only barely visible from the driver's seat (due to the sloping roofline).

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

mine's kinda like that.
because the way they treated the window from the factory,
there's air space created by those dots u see on the back windshield...the tint guy says, it is impossible to get it 100% bubble free but it looks ok. unless u see it from 2 feet away, u really can't notice it. enjoy the car. it looks even better tinted anyways

Re: TINT PROBLEM???????

Just remember to get somebody who knows what they are doing. Make sure they warrenty their work. If it's a good place, they shouldn't have even said anything about it b/c they would know how to tint that part. Don't get screwed with a bad tint job. Especially on the back window where your defogger and antenne are!!
