Lightbulb I want a 2006 damn it!

Having my car serviced at my dealer, I got an FX loaner. While thats not my first time driving an FX, it IS my first time driving that cookie at night.

OMG, driving with projectors is a day and night difference! (No pun intended)
It was like driving with a box of light in front of you. Once I got off the main road and got on some dark a$$ back roads in the woods I turned on the high-beams I was amazed at the amount of light output these projectors were putting out. I was able to spot a deer in the bushes from some 300 yards away. Now thats what I call HEADLIGHTS!

So when are the dealers going to stock the 06' Projectors, so I can buy them and try to install them in my 04'? Who's going to be the first guinea pig? Anyone have any actual pricing information on these suckers?

Just do a projector conversion, you'll lose your brembo's, clearance strip and get those ugly *** rear taillights now.

What's with the damn dimples!!!!

The projectors on my 15-year old 300ZX put out better light than the lights on my '04 G.

Projectors

Driving at night on the highway next to a new Maxima without HIDs but with projectors, I also noticed that his lights were lighting up the road better than my HIDs. So it is true.
But then I hate the projector HIDs cause almost every time I see them in my side view mirror on another car, one looks blue and the other white. So for now I'm happy with mine.

Yeah, right? Unfortunately, won't be that easy (re: my "Most expensive mod ever..." thread )

I've had my 04 for 2 years now. I figured I'll keep it for another one and see what's new on the market at that point. Not worth the $1420 for a pair of new headlights, especially when mine are in working order.

Yup the FX comes equipped with Stanley projectors (Same as Acura TSX,TL, Honda S2000). I am working on a set as I type this (low beam only) for my coupe. There is really no comparison to projector based lighting.

You can do a retro for around 300-400. It will just take some time
I like the new 06 headlights due to the bi-xenon capability. However, I think deleting the clearance strip was a mistake. I always like how a G looks with just the parking lights on. Wait till you see what I have done to the clearance strip in my projector retro. Looks awesome.
