350Z and the G35 coupe
350Z and the G35 coupe
I know, I know, you are probably saying "Here we go again", by just looking at the title. Let me warn you this might be a long post (well, at least according to my standards). So, here we go:
On my way home on the NJ turnpike, I notice a dark grey (not sure what this color is called on the Z) 350Z. It caught my eye, eventhough I was on the cars side, and he was on the trucks side. I tried to speed up, just to catch up to him. As soon as I caught up to him, I noticed a guy in his early 20s, and someone older in the passenger seat, probably his dad. He noticed my ride even across the devider. You should have seen his face - it lit up like a star. We both gave each other knods, and continued driving. I think his ride was brand new, because I even saw some sort of a white tape under the passenger door. Maybe they just picked it up. He got so excited, he even started waking up his dad. I moved through traffic pretty quickly, but I let him catch up. When he caught up, both him and his dad had their thumbs up
. I gave them a thumbs up, and sped away - had to slow down going 110 on the turnpike
. Too bad we weren't on the same side. Otherwise, we could have had some fun
.
Anyway, my conclusion is that there are great 350Z drivers out there, who think of us - G owners - as their brothers. There might be some dicCks that give you a finger, but those should be ignored. What other two cars drivers can look at each other and smile like the Z and G drivers do? I certainly can't think of any. They look at each other and show respect because they are both great cars, even if they have their own advantages and disadvantages! If there is a Z/G meet/get together in NJ area, let me know. I am definitely up for it.
That's all for now. All Z and G drivers say hi to your brothers on the road
P.S. I wonder what the guy had to say in the Z forum.

I also saw a lady in a G35 Sedan today. She tried to catch up with me just to give me thumbs up (she almost hit the car infront of her :0 ). Both of her son and her had big smiles on their faces when they caught up. I think I'll keep posting all of my good experiences, and prove that there are a lot more good people than the gealous types.
