Horrible story at the Tustin Auto Center
Horrible story at the Tustin Auto Center
I just got my Gailla rear lip spoiler in this morning. I remember awhile back when my service manager told me that Tusting Auto Center Body and Paint provide good collision repair. Natually i would like them to paint my rear spoiler. I called them up and spoke to saleman A. Told him that i need a rear spoiler to be painted and match to my car color and that Tustin Infiniti recommend me to them. I told him the spoiler is about 1/3 of the size of the factory g35coupe spoiler. He qoute me the price of 125 and that it will take about 24 hours to finish it. I told him i would drop by at lunch time and get the transaction going.
I arrive a little after 12:01 pm and saleman A went to lunch already. So i was being help by salesman B. He look at the spoiler and give me estimate with installation of 300 or 400 bucks, couldn't remember. The installation process is fairly easy because it contain double sides tape and 2 screw. I figured, okay how about without installation? His reply 229. I was like wowsy, way too much compare to salesman A (thinking in my mind). Then he stated, okay let's make it 199. Then i told him, salesman A quote me 125 and that is why i am here. His reply and this is exact quote, " Well look like his low ball you!" I was shocked and couldn't believe he said that. Another saleswoman was in the office too.
Well that is the last time i dealing with those people. I wasted 1 hour driving down there hoping to get it done and that jacka$$ screw me up.
Regardless, i am hoping to get the rear spoiler installed this weekend and will post some pic for u all to see.

Re: Horrible story at the Tustin Auto Center
awful story. sorry for your incident. do everyone a favor: please remember to take a few minutes, call whomever is actually in charge of the service department at the Infin dealer and tell him your experience. this is in no way to try and get you a "better deal" on the painting, but the manager should want to know what happened to you. s/he is not going to offer to "make it right for you", but if they're any kind of service/sales person, they'll know that your experience is the last time they recommend Tustin Auto Paint to anyone.*
good luck and thanks for telling us about them. post some pics when you get it all done. I will personally "ooohhhh" and "ahhhhh" over your pics! Hey, that's the least we all can do for you!
*side note: my experience with a premo car dealer's service dept. is that when they recommend someone/company for premo car, it is with utter confidence that they'll do a job worthy of the car. I've gone to two diff body shops way far south of you, and I can say, they do wonderful work. the cost is commensurate, meaning high, but it's worth it. in your case, however, a dollar number given out is a deal---and if they don't stick to their deal, their word and probably their end result is no damned good. I wouldn't trust them and I'd never go back even if they gave me the paint on the spoiler for free. It might flake off in six months and then what've you got?

Re: Horrible story at the Tustin Auto Center
Bondg35c,
I will see the dealer next week and inform them of my experience. ALso i don't mind paying 229 or 300 for it but the fact that one salesman stated on thing and the other stated another. Because the dealer recommend that imply they must be good and good job equate to higher cost. But what really got me was the fact that they low ball me.
I am trying to find one right now that can finish the job before the weekend. A user in this forum recommend a shop in garden grove and i will look into it today.
I will post picture on sunday if thing goes well. If not, then next weekend.
