NISMO and our G35s???
NISMO and our G35s???
Here's my concerns, every time i am on ebay most of what you see is cheap no name stuff or some other junk, while sparingly you come accross a true private seller just selling something off their car that is actually worth taking a look at. My question is when i see NISMO stuff on ebay plastered everywhere as if another cheap product is this stuff junk. From my understanding NISMO is a good, reputable company with good products but then why do i see their products all over ebay like they are some wholesale peice of junk. I am not bashing NISMO by any means, i am wondering if what is offered on ebay true NISMO stuff or is is just badged NISMO. Someone please explain what they think or what they know to be true about this stuff. I have wanted to make a few purchases in the past of NISMO stuff but i never know if i am buying junk or a fake. Please help guys.
PS. i figured this would be a good topic because im not interested in throwing junk on my G35. It is a great car and it should be treated as such. Also sorry about the repetitive "NISMO".
Thanks for your help everyone.

"If it's cheap then it's not officially NISMO"
LOL. That^s about right.
While NISMO items are sold as official Nissan Motorsports parts, the fact is that they often rebadge aftermarket parts as their own. Case in point, the NISMO Y-pipe is just the Fujitsubo Y-pipe. Likewise, they tack-weld a NISMO emblem onto another company's headers (also Fujitsubo, I believe).
There is usually a big mark-up for the the NISMO name, so that may be why you see items on ebay for cheaper.
NISMO parts are respectable. They may not be the best part available, in terms of the highest power-production or visual qaulity, but they are certainly at the higher end of the scale. The NISMO name also helps legitimize your mods, IMO, in terms of reselling the car later.
But there are times when the NISMO item is worth it, IMO. The authentic NISMO front bumper fits perfectly, whereas the replica takes some added work. The differencein cost is usually off-set by the increased cost required at the bodyshop for the replica.

I have a couple of Nismo catalogs that I have scoured over to see all the options for the G35. For a quick reference to legitimate parts, check:
