2006 splash guards

The dealer forgot to install the splash guards on my 06 coupe yesterday. Today im supposed to go in and get them installed. The only have thew rears and not the front. They say the rears are the same but the fronts are new. Is that true or is it more stealership B.S.?

From what I can tell looking at the website It looks new. Thats the reason why i didnt order it on mine, I wanna look at it first before I decide. It looks like it sticks out more, and doesnt flow as well as the old one. Remember its got new side sills on cars with sport package so the old front may not fit them.

Well if you have a 6MT or a 5AT with the sport-tuned suspension package, then the fronts are different because for 2006 the sides skirts would be different on your car....meaning that the front splash guards would have to be shaped differently to fit on your car.

Angry

CONFIRMATION!!!

I am really pissed. I just got the 06 6MT two weeks ago. Part of the deal was the addition of the splash guards for free. The salesman indicated that the 06' front guards are different and will have to be ordered.

Last week I dropped the car off for the installation for the guards and customed wheels. Apparently the one that they ordered do not fit and will have to re-order the fronts.

I just got off the phone a few minutes ago. The dealer confirmed with Infiniti that the front splash guards are NOT AVAILABLE for the sport suspension.

I can't believe this. I need a few minutes to think this thru. What do yall guys suggest?

more "poop" on the "splashies" ..............

My '06 MT came in last week W/O the splashguards. This caused a bit of a bitchfest b'tween me and sales manager. Supposedly resolved by ordering new ones that I'm informed arrived today. My sales guy indicated when they ordered them that there was an '06 only part # so maybe these might even fit,eh?!
I'm scheduled for Sat AM install and I just E Mailed him with suggestion he see if the "fronts" might happen to fit an '05 which would mean they WON'T fit my coupe!
Also, suggested his alerting me of fittment problem in ADVANCE of my arrival might avoid "unpleasantries" b'tween me and his boss since we kinda got off on the wrong foot from the gitgo ......
With all that said I'm just crazy about my new Black beauty w/Aero. Arrived w/o a mark and have found no problems to date w/ excellent fit and finish. Luvin' the Xenons, wild about the new spoiler and front fascia and am just way too excited for a Senior Citizen, heh, heh.
I debadged my little G'na, got her a beautiful clearbra, tinted her windows, added some ambience w/ new interior LED's and had Danno make her some sexy overlays for her new clearcorners I think she loves me,too!

Ahhh that sucks, but seems like I was right in my hunch about the fronts being different/ugly.

Regarding fitment, I called directly to Infinit Consumer Affairs. The lady tried to explain the difference between factory vs. dealer option which would limit Infinit's liability. That really pissed me off because the splash guards are available for the sports-tuned package based upon the link "Build" on the Infiniti site. At this time, Infinit Consumer Affairs is verifying the parts availability and will call me back today or tomorrow.

Luv my new PIMP mobile. Its an 06' 6MT- blk exterior and wheat interior w/ aero, premium package, changed the wheels out to chrome (2 1/2" lip front and 3.5" lip rear); will tint soon and change the corner lights to clear; thinking about debadging and adding a front lip. I luv all the changes from the earlier models. However, not to sure how I feel about the rectangular tail lights and spoiler. I was thinking about changing out the spoiler during the purchase but the new one looks cleaner. I am still undetermined which spoiler looks better.

If anyone is interested in purchasing my OEM 19" wheels, give me a holla ASAP.

Hey Bigguy2000- keep me posted regarding the fitment. What do you think of the black? I think it looks sweat and luv to clean it anyway. I sometimes wipe it down before and after a ride. I think the factory clear coat sucks for a $40K car; very paranoid of the light surface scratches which I noticed the second day of possession. The dealer waxed it before I picked it up, the detailer from my job parking garaged waxed it again, and I waxed it once. I know that is allot of waxing for only the two weeks of possession; but, I wanted to make sure that the car has a good protective barrier.

Houston G ...............................

Loving my car. That includes new tails and spoiler.
Sorry to hear about swirls.I picked up car DIRTY . Insisted dealer NOT wash or wax. They were appalled over this, heh,heh
I took her home for her first "bath" then waxed her once and once more 24 hours later. Used a new (to me at least) product I HIGHLY reccommend ..... Optimum Car Wax. Check there website for details. V. high tech product from interestin Phd. type guy. Read his Bio and product info at website. Product is Spray on wipe off. Takes 15-20 minutes todo car! Outstanding. I first learned about it on www.autotopia.com. That site has a bunch of detailing fanatics and if you checkit out2you'll get tons of info on removing your swirls.
Regarding the "splashies"...... I live 100 mles from my dealer so I have pushedthem to confirm splashies they ordered are gonna fit my '06 coupe when I get there. This they have done including informing me my splashies have different P/N's than '05 and earlier..... Soooooo we shall see Sat
Good luck with your back Beauty, I already have my new gal in her frt bra w/ loveley tint on her windows (35%) and all her unsightly badges removed!

Not sure how relevant this is, but I went to Grubbs Infiniti today to check out their 2006 inventory (being that it's Sunday), and out of all the 2006's I saw (with the new side skirts) not a single one had the splash guards installed. Yet, 99% (just guessing) of their 2005 remaining models had splash guards as usual.

I saw the new 2006 spoiler in person. I can tell you right now that it will "not" grow on me over time. Yuck! And I've finally decided to voice my opinion on the 2006 tail lights...I finanlly decided that I don't like them as much as the 2003-2005 tails (not that my tiny little opinion matters in these forums).

Grubbs has quite a few 2006's...I even saw a 2006 w/o the sport tuned suspension package....it just looked like an 05 w/new headlights & tail lights. It didn't have the new sideskirts and front bumper. I had to do a double take to make sure it was a 2006.
