Hi,
i have searched but not found anybody complained about this problem.
After 15K miles, my seat belt strap rubs against seat and makes
creaking sound. Just wondering why it's starting to making sound now
(the strap has rubbed against the seat since the begining).

it has always made that sound for me when it's in a certain position (the plastic strap thingy)
I mean, makes sense no?
friction makes sounds in most case

just adjust it a bit
it prolly moved into that position

I'm having the same problem as well, I try adding extra leather conditioner which helps reduce the noise a little. I rarely even use the seat belt now but, my main complaint is that the seatbelt doesn't fully retract and always seems to get the extra slack hang up inside the door jaw.

 

That sound used to drive me crazy. I started contemplating ways to prevent the rubbing. Even thought of affixing a piece of felt to the belt loop. Then I said, let me just clean and condition that part of the leather. VOILA! Been my routine every month now and the sound has never returned.

I think that's why 06's got different seatbelt location.
