Realistically and Practically:

- A better sound system.
- A 6-speed SMG Type transmission
- Cooled seats

All that I could personally ask for.

 

To me, Infiniti needs to consider all of these at least as optional add-ons:

-Taller 6th Gear(or slightly taller gears all around)
-Projector HID headlights that that steer as you turn the vehicle
-Better Nav, with Touchscreen/voice activation and removal of pop-up screen
-More Power from the VQ(stroke it to 3.7)
-Return of the Brembro Brakes
-Optional AWD in the Coupe platform
-More colors(Yellow, Copper/Bronze, Blue, etc)
-Removal of Tape player to accomodate larger Nav screen that doesn't pop up
-Replace G35 Intake tube with Z-Tube
-Relocation of the front 2 center console cupholders, so they don't get in the way of shifting
-AC Power outlet
-Brighter reverse/backup lights
-Key Fob programmed to allow auto-Window-Roll up
-Sideview mirrors given ability to also bend up and down instead of just forward and backward(Vandals love to push down on these and break them off)
-Blinkers built into Side-View mirrors
-Replacement of interior roof and A-pillar materials with something harder to stain(such as what honda uses... It's basicly almost like a football-jersey material).
-More aerodynamic Side-View mirrors(When I took mine off temporarily for maintenance, my car cruised on the highway with decreased effort)
-Option to pick your interior roof colors rather than all cars having white(or at least have the color match the seat color)
-Illuminated steering wheel controls for the Radio and Cruise control buttons
-Optional Heads Up Display feature
-Lighter driveshaft
-Removal or relocation of the eyeglass holder on the roof. It's too small to store sunglasses in and I find that the bump in the roof from it actually gets in the way of my Rear-View mirror, even though my mirror is all the way down... and I bet this is an even bigger problem for drivers over 6 feet tall.
-Additional voices for Navigation
-More scratch-resistant kick-plates on door sills
-Better quality paint
-Redesigned diffuser under engine, so that is divided into 2 separate pieces, a front and rear piece.... of which only the rear diffuser requires removal in order to change engine oil and filter(via removal of 4 or 6 screws instead of all 20 that hold the current diffuser in place).
-Floor mats and interior carpet should be Scotch-Guard coated from factory
-3 way adjustable front allignment(not on-the fly.. but just adjustable by a mechanic)... this may have been fixed on the 05/06 models
-Addition of Zerk fittings on the driveshaft and joints for lubrication accessibility
-Better seatbelt retraction for front seats to avoid them getting in the way of door shutting
-Redesigned front bumper to cut down on drag
-New front grille(I feel the car is too bubbly up front... it sorta has that "Hi!" type look that was initially attached to the first gen Neons).
-Optional undercoating with chemical such as POR-15
-Redesign of side windows on the coupe to prevent streaking that is associated with the dirty felt strip in the door.

I believe that many of these features should be added as option groups, that way the base G35 is still available at a reasonable price... so as to not outprice the current target sales market.

 

Full auto windows on the remote with an auto windows up when you lock the doors

Auto door lock when the car starts moving like most alarms do would be nice to have stock.

Remove the "OK" safety for navi, and let us type in a street adress while the car is moving dammit... it's annoying when even the passengers can't type in a destination into the navi. And make the thing a touchscreen too.

I also hate the voice. Make it so you can push a button for the voice, instead of having to hear it every 5 seconds or none at all like it is now...

Bring back the Brembos

Projectors for lowbeam, highbeam, and fogs

Pushstart button for intelli-key like M35/45s... and make it available with the manual trannies

A dual exhaust on the sedans

Move the sunglasses holder. I don't need it up there getting in the way or wasting space that can be better used for something else.

New cupholders. The ones available now suck and get in the way of shifting...

Umbrellas in the doors like higher end cars would be nice, or at least compartments for one per door like the Saturns...

It would also be nice if the Infiniti dealers would stop drilling holes in the visible part of the front bumper... which could be easily established by the design team spending about 1/2 a day of engineering effort to fabricate their own a bracket that comes from underneath the front air dam(It shouldn't be too hard to do this, so at least if you remove the plate, the mounting holes are would be hidden from view).

 

I can't beleive no one has said to move the window controls from our ankles up higher, like on the door arm rest.

Also make these doors look nicer! put some leather on it. They look really plasticy and cheap now. I also keep scuffing them up with my shoes.

The center arm rest needs to come up higher.

 

BLACK HOUSING HEADLIGHTS so we can stop paying Bat $40+ for overlays that cost like $2.

 

STOP USING ORANGE GAUGES AND ORANGE TO LIGHT UP THE COUNSEL!!! Please use blue prefereably or red, something besides orange! Its hideous and is my only complaint about all nissan cars. Anyone else agree?

 

Bring back the seat belts like in the 03-05, but put in an adjustable height slider so that vertically challenged drivers and front passengers don't have the seat belt cutting into their necks.

1. Integrate the navi screen into the dash, and make it a touch screen.
2. bring back the clearance strip lights
3. lower the center console height... makes me feel claustrophobic
4. replace orange dash lights and orange stitching with something more luxurious
5. reduce amount of buttons on center console, it looks too clustered
6. overall improvement in interior luxury

 

all of you have so many great ideas.

besides an even sexier shell for the coupe, one small nitpick i'd like to see is an aux port for the stereo. oh, and a 6AT paddle shift. manual's a pain in LA traffic.

 

I couldn't agree more.

 

1. A nicer interior
2. Full sub in the coupe(dont know if the sedan has one)
3. Sturdier door feel and sound(even if they are heavy, they sure dont sound like it when you open them, and when you close them they rattle)
4.at least 10 hp more
5. More features that the M has(almost got an M myslef)
6.Rear of the car not so tall(INFINITI CLAIMS OVER 5 AND 3 QUARTER INCHES!!!)
7. Keep the throaty exhaust note

Faster closing sunroof. I hate waiting for that thing to close.
