Been lurking for a long time, thanks to everyone for such knowledgeable comments and suggestions. I finally picked up my G35 Coupe last Friday from the dealer. I'll post a recap of some initial reactions in about a week or so, but I was just wondering, at what point did they stop using the Titanium Finish on the sport wheels? All the new ones on the lot (including mine) look different than ones I've seen in recent pictures. I'm talking about the 7-spoke wheels you get when you order the performance tire/wheel package for the 5AT. Did they stop using the titanium finish altogether? I'm kind of lukewarm either way, I was just expecting the brighter painted-look...

The 18's are painted titanium finish.. unless your dealer is chroming them... is that what your talking about?

 

Yes, that's what I'm talking about, and I can tell you it came off the truck that way (the dealer didn't chrome them). It looked like all of the other G35coupes w/ the 18" wheels coming off the truck and on the lot were like that too, but a few months ago, they weren't...

Oh man, Hey how about I take your rims and you can have mine with th old finish. I like the look of the chrome finish but not the price.

 

Honestly, I'm just curious. I paid nothing extra for the chrome wheels, in fact, they don't even look that "chromish" to me. Kinda just a regular alloy wheel, but definitely not the titanium clear-coat finish I've seen months before. And I did get the performance tire & wheel (7-spoke) package, with limited slip differential. I just find it odd. Any new owners within the last few weeks have the titanium finished wheels? So confused... I should post a picture of what they look like. I'll do that tomorrow.
