How hard is it to take out my drivers seat?

I have lost sooooooo many things under my damn seat. I cant get at the stuff with any tools or vaccum extentions or anything.. Is there an easy way to just unbolt the drivers seat so i can get at that stuff? What does everyone do?> Im sure im not the only guy who inadvertantly dumps his pockets between the center console and the seat....

This is from a TSB, if easy is what you are looking for, I don't think this is it. Click on "TSB".

That link shows the seat being torn apart......if you just want to remove the seat, just take out the 4 or so bolts and carefully pull it out of the car. Just unhook the battery wait a little bit just in case you trip the air bag in the seat. Once you are done cleaning under the seat, just bolt it back in and clip any connectors back together and hook your battery back up. Just be careful because the seat is probably really heavy with all the stuff that is in it. Hope this helps!!

Yeah, it's definitely an abyss between the center console and our seats. I dropped my USB drive there once and waited about a month to attempt to get it out. I managed to use a chopstick to fling it out far enough to where I could grab it with my hand. I'm always cautious of dropping anything down there now.

How about a Vacuum cleaner with a small hose attachment?

I made an attachment once for this, by getting a small rubber pipe, and duct taping it to one of the attachments that came with the vacuum cleaner, so that all the suction was then directed through the small pipe.

You could at least use it as a pressure sucker to reach down into there and maybe pick things up with it(larger things that won't fit through the pipe).

If you plan on actually sucking things up out of the abyss.. make sure you use a new bag in the vacuum cleaner so that you don't have to weed through a whole mess of dust, hair, and other junk to find your sucked-up items.

haha... i dropped my motorola razr in that gap... after a few hours of being annoyed, i decided that the phone was in a position where if i moved the seat forward, i would be able to reach it underneath with my hand. to my disappointment, as the seat was moving forward, the phone slipped, and was pinned by the automatic moving seat and lodged it where the phone was actually preventing the seat from moving, so much so that i could clearly hear the seat motor whining... in the end i was able to get the phone with a coat hanger
