Quote: Just to add my $.02

From what I have been reading on this bumper, it is a stock bumper that has been modified. If this is true, fitment will be dead on ***** accurate! Now its made of ureathane not fiberglass which can easily crack and need constant repair.

Authentic Top Secret Bumper or even KS bumper which all "FIT PERFECT OUT OF THE BOX"........well I have seen both out of the box and they are not perfect fits out of the box and maybe only 99% perfect once tweaked. Both of these fiberglass bumpers would retail for over $900 (unprepped).

I think everyone is underestimating their values for this bumper. If it is indeed stock, fitment will be perfect, it won't crack as easily as fiberglass, etc. I think the stock bumper alone retails for around $300 or so unpainted...so tack on labor or mold costs, I can easily see this piece fetching $600.

Now if the design is what people find flaws in, then beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but keep in mind that when the KS came out.....everyone trashed it.....now every other G has it! JK LOL

I am not for or against the design... I think it's different and a great idea. I could live with it, but it doesn't make me jump for joy.

I think people should just look at it sensibly as opposed to throwing out numbers.
It is modified Greddy bumper from my understanding, and will be made in urathane. With this bumper, we are not paying for the name. The reason why those forementioned bumpers are so expensive is because they come from well known companies that usually charge high prices. Stillen and Greddy front bumpers are more reasonably priced as they really don't mark up their products that much.

Like the aforementioned post about being molded from an OEM bumper...if that is the case...then taking fitment into consideration...it would be worth more.

If that bumper came primed and with 100% perfect fitment. All I had to do was paint it and install it...I would shoot for $500 max.

I like the look of it though.

IMO, $400-$600 is a very reasonable price range if this thing goes into a decent scale production. If it's small scale production $600+ might be an acceptable range too.

The reason I started this poll is because I am trying to get the guys making this bumper NOT TO PUT OFF PRODUCTION until March 2006. They don't know if there is presently enough interest in the bumper and they are leary about putting out a new bumper in the dead of winter (a lot of initial up front costs and stuff).

I want this thing today (as I will be buying a new bumper within the next 2-4 weeks regardless if this is available or not )! I've asked about price and have been given an estimate so the 2 ranges above will give the guys a good idea of who's interested and at what level. I've also asked many other questions about making the bumper and it seems as if every answer was dead on.

I also found out that the guys making this bumper have made other aftermarket bumpers in the past and they have a proven track record.

I wasn't under the impression that this was a modified stock bumper but I could be wrong. Accordfreak, can you shed any light on any of what I typed? I'm trying not to say too much but want to see exactly what the interest REALLY is. I have cash today and if enough others do too, maybe this bumper will be a reality in the near future. :fingers crossed:

Remember you have to be a paying sponsor to advertise on driver. Accordfreak and his contacts are doing the right thing according to forum rules about not posting prices, company names, etc... Keep up the good work guys!

Make a bumper like this for the sedan and i guarantee you you'll get enough people that would want to buy it for $600+ (if it was primed and a good fit) and you made it for the '05+ I know i'd buy it in a heartbeat if i had a coupe. You couldnt find anything urethane & name brand for less than $600 so IMO this would be one hell of a deal.

..... OEM 06 bumper is on sale on Ebay for $200.... I think anything over $350 would be too expensive.

I think it looks great...better than I had thought. Without a brand name behind it, the price would definitely have to be lower to be competitive. Especially for the initial sale or group buy, to get a bunch of people to sport this bumper, as well as to quickly recoup most of the costs.

Yup. GB would be the best way. I'm sure there would be more than enough interest to jump start the production as long as the final product looks good and is of high quality. If there is a guaranteed delivery date, I bet pre-pay GB will work, as that would be easier for the producers.

BTW, Stillen front bumper costs $589 from Intense Motorsports, so that would be a good guideline for pricing as it is also made of urathane. I said $500 because there was no brand name behind the bumper, and I think the price is pretty fair compared to Stillen. Maybe I would pay slightly more if I really liked the design, but as of now, $500 sounds very reasonable to me.

+1. The Greddy bumper is in the $500s too. These are both well-established companies, so this bumper should be priced stategically against them. A group buy would get them a rough estimate on how many people are interested, so they can adjust their pricing accordingly. After the group buy and some positive customer comments, they can charge $600. Until then, pricing it at $600+ implies it is of equal quality of Greddy and Stillen with the customer support to back it up.
