purchasing from tirerack.com questions??

I just picked up a G35 now I'm in an extreme rush to get snow tires on this car... need them ASAP!! so please help.

I'm trying to order blizzak ws-50's since the dunlop m3 are sold out for the season in the rear... but anyways how come it asked me for 3 different styles while ordering.. I just don't want the wrong tires!

6MT
18" Performance wheel package
something else??

Which one do I go for?.. I mean I have 6MT and 18" Performance wheel package.

BTW I'm getting the 17" tires with the cheap rims.. hopefully this will pass for the brembo's..

THANKS!

I think they use it for making sure the wheels fit the car. Tried it out real quick....the base model option gives you wheels 17" and bigger. The perf wheel pkg gives you 18" wheels and bigger, and the 6MT option gives you 19" wheels and bigger. I'm not sure if the 17" wheels will work with the perf wheel pkg - if your car doesn't have Brembos (and being a new car it might not have them), it may be ok. But, I would suggest to do a search or call Tire Rack to make sure.

Edit: Sorry, just re-read your post and you do have the Brembos. Do a search....others have commented on this.

The best way to deal with Tirerack is to give them a call. They were very helpful to me.
I got the Blizzak l22's with the 17" Gram Lights.

^^^Agreed. There is also a Tirerack sponsored forum on the freshalloy forum that might have some more info. I don't think you are going to gain any time by web ordering today (unless they are running out of stock). Call tomorrow, web order or not, and talk with someone.

As you're rushing, don't forget about the locating bolts on the front calipers, I'm pretty sure those wheels fit close enough that they have to come off. Tirerack will have it in the instructions...

thanks all, i may need to call them..

they must fit brembos

it just snowed 3" inches and i'm picking up my car tommorrow.. I may just leave it at the infiniti dealer, better safe there then driving on snow roads with summer tires.

Actually I just went ahead and ordered tires for tirerack.com

I noticed using the different options..

6MT
Performance wheel and tire package
Base Model

the 6MT and Performance pack. was the same when I chose the winter tire packages... I don't know why they have those 2 options to choose from when specifying your veichle but it gets me a little confused.

O well.. Thanks for all the help, Can't wait to try these in the snow.

should be interesting reading if you haven't come across it yet...

If it has Pilot's on it, then I WOULD NOT DRIVE IT if the roads are not clear. I've been caught twice with snow and the summer tires, and it's just not worth it.

Good idea. Don't risk crashing your brand new car. Good luck when you get your new tires. It's a great investment.
