What engine do you think the new 2007 G35 will have?

That would also mean better handling
Realistically;
It's easier & cheaper to add ponies than to chop weight.
To chop weight I think it would mean more hi tech (expensive) materials.

i think vq35 still got some life left, the 3.5 liter engine in the IS350 seems like it can make more torque and hp and be more fuel efficient. I think Nissan can do some things with the compression ratio and various other techniques to still improve it further. I dont see why with more refinement it wont make 330-350hp. its a DOHC engine so it should have that kind of potential. if bmw can make their big V10 and V8 in the M3 make 100hp/liter, i think 330hp shouldnt be out of the question for the vq35. tunning the VQ40 to a high reving sporty configuration might take similar amount of money in terms of R&D. i dont want the engine to be any heavier, the VQ35 already weigh around the same as GM's OHV 6.0L LS2.

I hope and wish that Nissan will bring back the inline 6 RB motor with a 3.5 bore and a highflow head large twin turbo and also a kick azz drive line. ehhehe that will be awsome. HP on that will be insane and the potential on this motor will mad crazy. But most likely we will get VQ35 with more compresion or tune a little with a increase of 20HP if we are lucky. FI will be more work and aftermaket stuff will expensive with not much gain : (

I don't get why people want Nissan to put a truck variant engine in a G. Optimal displacement for a V6 is 3.0L. If we bump it to 4.0L VQ, most likely, we'll lose revs for torque. I would much rather Nissan keep the 3.5L and add either VVL or Direct Injection or both and make it revs to near 8k. That would be much more fun to drive. 3.5L making 330HP to 350HP would be perfect to me.
