Question regarding tire setup
Hello,
Im still adjusting to seasonal tires I have gotten too used to all-season performance tires. I have the 19's with the potenza's, since Im in NY we have f***** up winters here it snows all night and by next afternoon sun's out and the bird's are chirping. Im debating on buying the snow tires or sucking it up and busing it every so often when it snows.
Anyway, since I have the 19's what are my limits? Can I go with 17's and get a higher profile tire face or do I need 18's due to well and rotor clearances?
I understand mechanical and body, but Im stupid with tires. Lack of experience.
Thanks.

I live in NY too. I have 20inch DPEs. What I did was buy a hooptie for a few hundred dollars instead of buying any more rims and tires. You figure you might spend about three to five hundred for a set of winter rims and tires. Just buy a beater for that price and on those snowy days, you drive the beater. You insurance should pretty much be the same due to multi car discount. Look into it.
