Loaner Vehicles *thumbs down*

I just dropped off my '06 LS 6mt to the dealership, so they can buff out a pre-delivery scratch and install the spash guards. They gave me the loaner vehicle, and I must say, that I'm not impressed at all. (I know...I probably should expect to be....but anyways) The appointmen making process was pretty painful too. They called me this morning to try to set up when I could drop my car off. Of course, I drove in my Tacoma.....so I had to make an extra trip home to do all of this.....

They gave me a dirty (from the snow) '05 sedan, which had less than a quarter-tank.
It was Lakeshore Slate....but it didn't look nearly as enjoyable as mine.
Overall, I must say that a I was not impressed with what they gave me as a loaner. I'm going to be sure to let them know when I drop off that dust-ball, but only after they give me mine back in pristine condition.

Anyway....just my little soapbox session. I'm all better now. I'll post a pic of it later.

Yeah, they seem to not have the time to proplery clean and maintain them.

Mine usually smell like smoke...but, eh, at least it's a G35!

Mikedaddy, I have to say that your post sounds a bit petty.

I wouldn't care too much about it being clean and if the gass was an issue then tell them to put some in.

good thing you didn't buy a Nissan as they don't give you squat to drive.

Well I have taken my car in 3 times and gotten a loaner. The first time I got a Chevy Malibu through Enterprise Rental Car. The next 2 times I paid an extra $10 a day to have a Merc C230. The warranty says that they will provide you with a loaner car - it doesn't have to be an Infiniti so get over it. If that is all you have to worry about you really need something else to take up your attention.

question from a new infiniti owner..

So... you bring in your car for service like maintanence and they give you a free loaner car? Also I thought it was an Infinity that they are suppose to rent you.

when i got my loaner this morning, the seat warmers and heater was conveniently turned on for me... it really depends on the dealership and the service rep handling your file... it sucks cause all of the loaners have intellikey, but customers tend to lose the key so they dont hand them out anymore. at first they did, and its a really cool feature, very convenient!

i say complain to Infiniti HQ... thats the only way to make a difference...

I have taken my Coupe in a couple of times and each time they gave me a new G sedan everytime. But you are right about the gas thing. But if it is a big deal i am sure they will put a half tank in for you.

I love getting loaner cars cuz you can do anything you want to it. (kinda...)

One of the reasons that I bought an Infiniti is because of the great service that the Dealership offers. In the winter, the Dealer always gives me an AWD Infiniti in case it snows, and the heater and seat heater are always turned on. The fuel tank has a full tank of gas and the car is clean inside and out. Absolutely no complaints.

at least infiniti offers a loaner car. mercedes will not ask if you need one. all they ask is if you need a ride from the shuttle and that's it so don't complain.

LOL,
Thanks for the "Get over it" comments....I was highly amused. Petty, yeah, probably, but it gave me something to do with my time at work. I'm not in the least bit worried about the quality of car they gave me...I just thought I'd share and see what other experiences there have been.

Hopefully I can have my car back tomorrow evening before the snow comes in.
