Drive-by-wire and 0-60 times
i was always under the assumption that drive by wire is a steering mechanism that replaces the hydrolics, it has nothing to do with controlling power.
that would be the ECU's job, and i dont think the ECU is programed to kill power at 5500RPM in the first place.
i might be wrong though

my understanding was the drive-by-wire started closing the throttle body after 5,500RPM (so less air flow) to 'encourage' people to shift and not get near red line. If it remained opened at full throttle, rather than closing itself past 5.5K, you'd get more out of the gear, wouldn't you?
i dont know. At least for my car i dont feel like it encourages me to shift and not get near redline. my power continues to climb past 5500rpm and peaks at 6400rpm. I feel like im encouraged to rev close to redline in order to get the most power out of the car.
getting a technosquare ecu reflash will make it so the throttle body stays open 100% to redline and increases redline. This will help 0-60. But whether its open 80% or 100%, is really not a material difference.
According to some guys who have had the reflash the ECU controls the full throttle opening somewhere near redline- maybe it is 5500. Apparently full throttle is more like 90% open throttle after that rpm.
