like i said, it was only my opinion... and with the 8000K, you have less light output than opposed to a 4,300Kelvin bulb.

the 8000K have a nice blue color to it though, see the above picture

So the higher the Kelvins, the "dimmer" the light is?

I.E. 4000K is brighter than 8000K? or am I completely wrong?

When talking about bulbs yes. It's dimmer because to achieve higher kelvins than 4300K, most manufacturers tint the bulb capsule. These tints, filter out (or subtract) a portion of the light to make the light appear bluer/purpler/etc.

There has always been a misconception of the kelvin rating. The kelvin rating, in the world of headlights, only describes the color of the light. When you buy those 8k 10k lights, you're getting a bulb that has a color filter on the bulb itself. The filter filters out the other colors in a white light so that only a blue color comes out. Since you're taking out light, it's reasonable to say that the light is actually dimmer. It just doesn't look like it since our eyes are more attracted to things that stands out and blue lights stand out in a sea of yellow and white lights at night.

Of course, that's the reason why people buy the 8k 10k lights. So that they can be different from the rest of the crowd.
