Stillen Sway Bars - ROAD TESTED!!! - Integra spun out trying to follow me!
"Stillen sways on 05 6MT coupe... WTF???" was my original thread which I wrote the day I installed my Stillen Sways.
It was finally dry enough here in SSF to go really test and tune the sway bars. I currently have them set at MED/MED. At first, I thought it really didn't make a difference or it actually got worse compared to OEM sport tuned. I thought that my cornering capability all came from my springs/struts/wheels/tires combo. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Today I pushed my car hard up and down Sharp Park in San Bruno. Helps that I just installed the MREV PLUS Copper Iso Thermal too...
So after warming up my tires for about 30 minutes I make one slow run down Sharp Park which is a short series of turns but with REALLY smooth pavement. I used to rip up and down that road on my R1 when I wanted to relieve some stress. Anyways, on the way up Sharp Park, I decide to start pushing it... I could not believe the control I had. So I make a few more runs up and down, going faster and faster. I had NO BODY ROLL!!! I just felt the G-forces of the blood rushing back and forth in my body! The G just stayed flat as if I was driving straight but just CORNERED LIKE SHE WAS ON RAILS!!!!
Oh yeah, a lowered Integra tried to keep up with me and spun out behind me... I think he hit the side of the mountain but I saw him again when he pulled up behind me at the light like a minute later.
So I am very happy with the SWAY BARS. So in contradiction to my first reaction to the SWAYS, they really are an improvement! I like MED/MED. I will definitely try other settings but I like my G right now. LOVE THE MREV!!! Don't get me started on the MREV...

I got my Sways from a GB on this forum and was asked not to repeat the price. I got them for a GREAT DEAL on andy2434's Stillen Sways GB.
I have eibach prokits/tokico d-spec set at 4 turns out from full hard/volk sf-challenges 19x9.5 +28mm offset, 19x10.5 +23mm offset, Bridgestone SO-3's 245/35/19, 275/35/19.
I did push my car with the OEM sways. It did corner well but I had major body roll and less road feel. I mean it felt good stock but NOW... woo boy, it just rails! If you read my original post about my intitial reaction to the sways, I was questioning them but that was before I really got to test them. It is definitely not a placebo effect. I'm not one of those guys that slap an air filter on and claim that my car feels like it has 30 more HP... lol.
I highly RECOMMEND the Sways! I'm actually selling my 05 Sport Tuned ones for 80 bucks. Like I said in the original thread, the front OEM is almost identical to the STILLEN front and the OEM one is heavier. The rear looks the same but the Stillen is slightly heavier. I know the 05/06 Sport Tuned ones are 18% stiffer than 03-04 so I was skeptical about an actual improvement. That's why I started at MED/MED and not Soft because it would be going backwawrds from 05 Sport Tuned by going soft. I also learned from other members that the adjustability of the Stillen makes for fine tuning according to handling preference at the limits.

Thread hijack, but along the same lines:
Did the sways, on a stock 6 MT sport suspension (2005) make the ride any harsher? Maybe I have a tender butt, but the G is about as harsh a ride as I want (my thinks it's a bit too harsh) and I don't want to make it any harsher.
I'd love to cut down on the body roll, but I really don't want to make the ride any harsher.

Anyway, to answer about the 2005 models... I just put them on my 6MT 2005 sedan. Set to med/med... big difference - love them. No additional harshness, but less roll in the corners. The only way they would introdcue additional harshenss is if a large bump hits ONE side of the car, but not the other. The rest of my opinion is here.
