GTR Overlays

Does anyone know where I can purchase the GTR Overlays for the taillights from a website to order? Not the fully smoked, the GTR Overlays. Thanks.

Unless you have a heat gun and experience with applying vinyl, i highly suggest taking it to a tint shop to do it. Mine looks like crap from up close. I couldn't get all the bubbles out.

When you applied it, did you go inch by inch, covering small portions at a time? Also it's good to use either one of those painters' spatula or a firm piece of cardboard. Applying water using a spray bottle before putting the overlays will help decrease chances of bubbles. Don't worry about the overlays not sticking because when you use the spatula, it'll push out excess water.

Don't get me wrong, it's not as hard as i make it sound and i did get it to come out. If you stand back a couple feet it still looks decent. But i'm a bit of a perfectionist. That's why i say it looks like crap. But i still drive around with it.

I actually used a sqeegee (sp?) made for vinyl. It's just hard to get the cutouts to line up correctly. Trust me, i took my time. Couldn't get all the bubbles out. You'll see what i mean when we meet up, Elg.

Wink

Note: On the gtr Overlays, go with my standard 6/10 tint. Better contrast between the cuts .
