This happened to me as well!!!!

You know I was travelling on the freeway one time and my 04 coupe the power steering just died. I pulled over to the side of the road (cuz i was strong) and restarted the car and it was fine. Never had the problem again but man it was kind of scary.

Sounds like you guys mean that the engine stalled? I remember reading somewhere where people who installed CAI intakes had their engine stall and the power steering and all else just turned off. I had this happen a few times when I had my Isuzu Rodeo and what I had to do REAL QUICK was to turn it back on while it is still moving! I got the hang of it after about 4 times and usually when I turn a corner while I press the clutch in. Yeah, it is scary.

Does the steering wheel lock up when this happens? I can't see how it would be that difficult to turn while in motion w/out power steering. And yes, I've driven heavy cars w/out PS b4.

I think some duct tape can patch that right up. Sorry to see that bro thought a little humor can brighten your night. If not sorry...

When the engine stalls, the power steering will turn off, but the wheel wont lock up, you can still turn it if your moving, it just takes ALOT more effort to do so. Just tell them the car stalled on its own and they should take care of it, unless they see you have mods.

Driving a car without power steering is VERY DIFFICULT. It takes a lot effort just to turn. Young kids that have never driven a car w/o PS will be shocked at how much effort it takes espacially when it is not moving.
