i use other people's pictures when posting stuff on ebay roughly half the time, mainly due to my laziness... Don't sweat it.

No, my calculations are not working well today. You wow us all with your cleverness.

Seriously, why care if your car is used in an eBay ad? I would think it's nice to have someone like your picture enough to use it. It's not like you're missing out on getting paid for it, so why not? Or maybe have the guy put "thanks to blah blah for the picture" in the auction fine print. But if you post your pictures in public forums without copyright notices, expect it.

Interesting . . . MechEE, in crossing paths with regard to some of your postings, you remind me of myself in my younger years. If you do not mind me asking . . . Which Mechanical discipline are you paid for? Please do not mention any of the local Consultant's names. This is a small town. We'll simply keep this to idle board chatter.

Depends for whom I'm consulting... but I do most anything that falls within mechanical and electrical engineering, from Mars rover suspensions and dynamic simulations to controller board layouts and firmware. Currently I'm back at school in the Palo Alto area for a PhD in EE but still consult on the side. How about you?
