Back From the Body Shop ARGH!

i just got my car back from the auto shop, and i'm extreamly unhappy with there work. 1st, they said they would pop out the old bumper, when i complained they did it right there in front of me, in a hurry and really crapply! 2nd, they said they would touch up a spot on my front bumper where i had scraped, then i complained and i just ended up doing it myself, while they watched. 3rd the new painted bumper doesn't even look the same as the rest of the car! its a shade "blacker" to the untrained eye, one wouldn't notice, but I CAN SEE IT! (and thats all that matters).
just my ranting...

but i have a question: do i have to wait any amount of time before i can wash or wax the car? does the paint need to harden or anything? thanks

If you're unhappy with the work, refuse to pay unless they do it right.

depends if they baked it or not. If its a day or 2 old is hsouldent matter just be easy when u dry it and keep it wet untill your ready to dry it.

You SHOULD NOT wash it until it is totally dry. A detailer told me that!

i have DG and i had to replace rear bumper.
made them repaint it twice but it sucks.
i checked bunch of dealers...not a single car in infiniti dealer had matched color nor exhaust alignment.
problem w/ color is that dif materials were used (bumpers - plastic and car itself - metal)
idk how bad it is but...i found out that its hard to match the paint.
i wasnt trying to match it 100% but...wasnt satisfied :/

When I got a paint job on my accord, they told me to wait a week before I give it a wash.

is paint match seriously that pain in the ***? truplay did u have any problems w/ color match? i'm a little afraid to paint my fenders since its kind of a big part of the car.. if that doesnt match my car will look hideous.

When painting a section of the car body shops will usually 'blend' in the surrounding areas so it all matches. It sounds like all they did was paint the new bumper and throw it on. If you are not happy then I suggest you bring it back.

the flex agent in the paint for the bumpers makes the shade difference
