Hello, all i bought two sets of the gtr from blue bat, and let me tell you they dont fit correctly at all, the curves are completely wrong, maybe i got a bad set or something, but honestly they really dont fit correcty, you need to cut them, then it means cutting the headlight, its really a very hard install. i think they should try and make them better.

which kits did you order? You really have to take your time when installing them. Getting them to line up can take some time. When lining them up, then applying heat with a hairdryer, the vinyl can move in a different direction if not careful. Did you do the install yourself? pm me .

Also, for those who've never seen this, here's a tutorial on applying my Overlays: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34653

I Bought Two Kits, And Had A Tinter Do It The First Time, But It Didnt Look Goood Because He Had To Cut It, And The Second The Pattern Was So Off That It Really Didnt Fit At All. Im Sorry To Say But The Measuring Is Way Way Off, I Dont Know How People Get Them On To Look Good?

A good tinter should be able to do it with no cutting at all. You might wanna try a different tinter. Again, it's the way the overlay is lined up that will determine how it will lay flat. pm me .

update: I was wrong, my gtr headlight overlays will not work for the 06 headlamps. Seems that they reworked the position of the headlamps on the 06. I'll need to make revisions before it's available. However, the full smoke overlay for the headlights will work on the 06.

Tailights are perfect! I have pics of them installed and will post them up soon .

Here are the pics Bat promised of the '06 G35 Coupe GTR taillight overlays. I must admit that the install was somewhat challenging. While it's not difficult, it does require a lot of patience. I have very limited experience tinting auto windows but it did help somewhat. The first overlay took around two hours. The second only took about 40 minutes as I had a better idea of what to expect. I was glad I used a heat gun rather than a hairdryer. These are 6/10 overlays.

Pics look great Kurtis! Lets plan on getting together next Saturday to update the 06 headlights . Mind if I add the pics to my Gallery?

btw-that's my darkest tint 6/10. Looks lighter only because the area underneath the taillight lense has a chrome finish, so more light is reflected off it.

Yeah, I think it looks a little lighter because the sun was behind me when I took the pics and the GTR style lets more light in than a full smoke overlay. Can't go with opaque GTR overlay because you won't see the 12-LED array or the parking lights on the side of the taillight assembly.

Bat, sure you can add pics to your gallery. We can hook up on Saturday. Call me to arrange time/place. Thanks again.
