Flashback....THREE weeks ago:

Get a call from the sales guy that my '06 IP (nav and everything but RAS) is in.

I ordered my baby way back in October '05. OCTOBER! How the hell did I manage to be this patient you say? I had practice...i think back to sometime in the 80's when I ordered my Nintendo System (you know, the "deluxe set" with the gun, super mario, excite bike and all) and had to wait like 3 weeks.

BUT I digress. When I got the call, I was in the process of selling my accord and needed the money for DP, so I had to tell the sales guy I needed another week.

Another week passes painfully slowly...

Call him up a few days before and tell him the stupid bank is withholding the bank draft of sale of car for 5 working days. I need another week.

Sigh.....

Today rolls around. I'm getting ready to go. Just got a call. Garbage truck hit the power lines at the dealership. Phones and computer systems are down. Please come in on Saturday instead.

It FEELS like I should have just waited for the 07.....

LOL! Dude, you should talk to some of us original '03 owners if you want to hear about delays and waiting. It'll make you feel better about your situation. :P

 

Don't worry buddy. This time last year was the same exact thing for me. Ordered it in October 04, picked it up on the 15th of Feb. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

 

its ok. imo its wayyyyy worth the wait ! and once you get it you will just be smiling all the time

 

I never had to do any of this waiting, when I went to the dealership for the very first time and said the exact coupe I wanted (fullly loaded 6mt DG/G) he started laughing his *** off and told asked if he could hop in my IS and go down the street to the warehouse where they store the cars. We get their and theirs a 18 wheelers backing my car off the truck (wasnt mine then, but it is now ) I got so lucky becuase that was the only 6MT they got in on that shipment!

I got lucky as well, the dealre had my 06 6MT BO/WHT NAV AERO coupe on the lot waiting for me...**Last BO/WHy coupe left

 

I waited about 60 days for my '05 IP/Stone 6MT (hardtop). It wasn't too bad. Definately worth waiting to get exactly what I wanted, especially since there weren't any of this combo. available on the market back then.

 

Excite Bike was this $hit..... Dam i miss those games.
