My dyno results with mods

My dyno results on a dyno dynamics produced 221whp and 198ft/lbs. They told me that dyno dynamics gives the lowest numbers of the 4 commonly used dyno. I was told that you can add 16-17% to get dyno jet equivalent numbers. Don't know if this is true or not but with 17% added to the dyno dynamics number i would have around 259 whp which is what i would expect given my mods (jwt pop charger, strup headers, borla exhaust, UR crank pulley).

The really interesting thing was that above 5000 rpm's i was running really rich (below 10) which was a little concerning. Anyone else running that rich?

I just dyno'd my bone stock '06 and hit 212 whp and 186 ft*lbs on a Mustang dyno. My AFRs were down in the low 11s at times. But if your AFRs are below 10 (I'd question the dyno wideband) then you can pick up some power by leaning that out.

I never got a printout on how rich I was running, But I was running pretty rich at the very end as well. with my mods below... Its probably our TD exhaust

Yeah, that's the question we asked ourselves. But i'm running 10:1 above 5k rpm's at WOT. Not sure how to explain it other than the intake making the car overcompensate with extra fuel.

Your car has a MAF sensor, remember. If it sees more air it injects more fuel. You've probably just moved it to a different area in the map that runs richer.

When the car is dynoed by Infiniti where is the horsepower measures from? It must not be from the wheels because the 5AT is supposed to be 280. Why is there so many different ways to explain horsepower? Can someone ploease explain a little?

What's so hard to understand. Manufacturers give crank horsepower to give a bigger number.

It's all about marketing.

Like someone said above, manufacturers measure horse power at the crank (how much hp the engine itself produces). Dynos measure hp at the wheels...power is lost through the drive train.
