Cannot find an answer using the search funtion...

I notice that when I turn on my car (6MT - I don't know if that makes a difference) the passenger "airbag off" light comes on for like 5 seconds, and the goes away. And it does the same thing if my wife is in the seat. So, how is it suppose to work?

It should be a weight sensor that turns the light on and off in the seat so when someone sits, the light goes off.

 

And in my case, after I turn on the car and light goes for like the first 5 seconds, it then goes away whether I have a passenger or not.
