Clicking noise from rear diff

I heard that some people had some issues with this. on my 5at whenever i put it in drive or Rev and start moving there is a loud clicking noise. It started out semi quiet, but now a few months later and its super loud.

What gives? Someone told me even after the dealer fixed it, it still came back. Anyone know what causes it or how bad it is to keep driving with it?

When i took mine in...the clicking was caused by some loose rear axle bolts. If you notice the clicking only happens during acceleration or in reverse when theres stress on the rear diff. They said they changed the axle bolts with an "improved version" and its been fine ever since.

Hope that helps.

Search on this forum would have given you all the answers but....
See below site, print and take it to an Infiniti dealership for a warrantee job. I had it fixed last year, no more issue.

thank you.

hmmm only one thing scares me is that they can somehow mess this up. Plus the fact that i have exhaust on and sway bars they might try to pull the VOID warantee BS. Oh well we'll see what happens when i go there.

Now if this does not get corrected... what can happen??

They shouldn't give you any problem, I had mine replaced even after the coilovers...they have a TSB and they know there is a problem so they have no grounds to refuse to replace it. Just be nice and up front with the service writer, that usually helps too. Good luck
