Oil drain plug swivel valve?
Anyone changed their drain plug to the swivel valve type? It would be so much easier and cleaner to drain the oil. Just connect a hose of some kind to the valve, switch the lever and have it drain to your catch pan. (Ideal process).
I want to do this but not sure if it will drain all the crap out and if the lever would ever get swithed if hit by a rock or something while driving. There goes the motor. But the cover tray should prevent that, right?

i have it on my G. I love it so much i bought one for my truck. I bought the valve with the nipple. I hook up a length of hose (which i bought at the local hardware store) open the valve and drain right into the container. No mess whatsoever and have never had a problem with it. Also to open the valve you need to push it down then across and with a tiny bit of force, nothing a pebble could do...unless it was a magic pebble.

You could use the supplied gasket and torque it down...walaaah!
.....now if they could only figure out and easier way to change the oil filter
