Anyone Leasing - what kind of package?
Anyone Leasing - what kind of package?
Hi all,
Don't know if this is too "close to home" - but I'm about to pull the plug on a GC this week, and want to know everyone's opinions. I've got great credit, and am thinking of leasing with as little money down as possible.
Does anybody have any particular scenarios they remember from the dealership ~ they told you 36 months is the best, and would be $3k down, + ttl, and $500+ a month? Just looking to make sure I don't get ripped off...
Thx,

try to put down as little as possible. gap insurance covers depreciation if the car is stolen or totaled, but, nothing covers the amount you put down. that would be your cost and lost.

Re: Anyone Leasing - what kind of package?
I just got mine two weeks ago, so I remember everything. Here are my terms:
$0 down, taxes included, 12,000 miles per year, 39 months, $630 per month. No bank fee, no DMV fee, or anything like that. All I needed was my first month's check of $630 to get my car. The lease price was high for only a $37,000 vehicle but it is because the projected residual value for this car is only 51% after the 3 years (whereas the average BMW is at 60-65%), but it was definitely worth it. I was pissed at first, but now that I am in the driver's seat with the exact car and options/colors that I wanted, this car is worth every penny. =)

I find it interesting that the residuals on the coupe are so low, the residual on my 5AT Sedan was 53.6%, for a 3.5 year lease with 15k miles/year. And it's not like you can deal on the residual, I'm pretty sure those are set in stone by the lease company. Was your lease through Inifiniti Financial?

Re: Anyone Leasing - what kind of package?
I leased my G for 4 years, 1 year more than I wished but whatever. I leased it basically this inluding taxes fees and stuff like that, 2,000 down, 550 a month, 12k a year, When I first got to the dealer he gave me a number like 640 a month. Had to play a little hardball to get it down but I did. This car is amazing but the lease payment on the thign is crazy. I mean you can get a BMW 3 series for about 200 cheaper a month but both have the same msrp. I love the car but its expensive
