I don't know about you, but 3 hours of my time > $13

i am buying the V1 tomorrow. and well i'd like to get Mike's Mount and the invisicord.
anything else I would need in order NOT to have any cords dangling or anything??
another question: rate the install from a 1 to 10 (1 being REAL easy and 10 being REAL hard PITA)
thanks in advance!
with the new updated inviscord (smaller connectors) it's about a 0 on the install. It was about a 2 with the connectors that are larger - only because I had to use some energy jamming them in. Originally Posted by sky350GT

All I needed to mount my Passport was the factory window mount (it fits into the Mikes Mount), Mike's Mount, and Invisicord. No more cords.Originally Posted by sky350GT

On a scale of 1 to 10 it is a 2. The only thing that takes some time (and this really depends on how **** you are) is getting everything perfectly straight with the Mike's Mount before you tighten the two screws down all the way.
Go ahead and order both the invisicord and Mike's Mount, you will be happy with them.

Thanks.
Mike's user name is mike3348. He is the guy that makes the mounts. As far as I know, he does not have a website but you can send him a PM with any questions.Originally Posted by brisk

I am curious, I have the Solo S2 also with Mike's mount and the invisicord. I seem to get interference on my radio when I use it with the cord but not when I just use the battery. Has anyone else experienced this??

well, i found the price for the invisicord BUT, which length should I go with? 8", 12" or 16"?? i dont want excess cord to be dangling either... im guessing the 8" right?
and i'll be using Mike's Mount to go along with it.

I just spent about 3 hours this afternoon making my own invisicord. Cost me $3.99 in material fee, a couple of solders, a telephone cord, some cutting and grinding, two blisters and TADA! Works fine so far, but I have no idea when my home made plugs are going to fall out or short out the ECU though.
Worth the $14 saving? Probably not,
Knowing that I saved enough to buy 14 items from the Wendy's dollar menu - priceless.
1. Jr. Bacon Cheese Burger
2. Medium fries
3. Side salad
4. Medium Ice Tea
5. Small Chilli
6. Baked Potato
7. Frosty
8. Double the order for my date.

Very funny, great job!
I have a different idea on how this should go though.
$14.00 for an invisicord
$14.00 for a quick Wendy's meal for me and my date
3 hours of quality (
) time with my date instead of monkeying with a homemade cord, priceless...Just a different take on this, I know which I would go for!

Dammit!
ps: I forgot to factor in the $3.99 I spent on material fee, so I actually only saved enough for 5 items each.
