with the Mark Levinson stereo and Nav it can get up there pretty quick. dont use the Lexus website as a guide though. there are people rolling in base models that just have the ML sound system and Nav w/out all the other package items. you can order whatever you want as long as your willing to wait. just easier for the dealer and site to spit out a cookie cutter pack deal.

i wanted a base with metallic silver trim (aka painted plastic like the G) originally cause i hate wood. base comes with all the goodies except heated/cooled seats, wood, and 18" wheels. but the dealer cut me such a good price on the prem pack car that had all the stuff, i was willing to put up with wood trim for savings. basically got 3K worth of options for free. someone will make an alum overlay in the future anyway. besides, the wood actually isnt that bad (god, did that come out of my mouth?)

Sorry for the breakup

How much are you selling your car for? and how many miles does it have on it and what year is it.

all the other dealers either would not order me a car or sell anything other than what they already had in inventory. have to admit their customer service, at least the dealer im buying from, is great.

thats what annoyed me about the site. you couldn't order a base car, it forced you to choose the least expensive package and went up from there (even though the first page on the IS states it starts at 36K MSRP for a base). the dealers (least the ones around here) are not willing to order you something special either. all of them coming into the northern Indiana area are already sold. they want to sell cars already coming, not a car that will arrive in late summer when you will have the time to sit on your decision and possibly back out of the deal. i can see their side of it, but it also makes you angry when someone won't do what you want at that $$ level. went thru the same hype with my G though in 2003

yeah, I tried to create one on CarsDirect.com and it ended up at $48K! all I want is navi, ML sound system and the premium pkg. Everything is all tied together so I don't think you can order individual options on the car... Also, their target price was only about $1K off MSRP.

They were Kazera KZ-A 18x8.5 front 18x9.5 rear with Kumho MX 245/40-18 F and 275/40-18 R. The combo worked great! Sold them on ebay last Monday. I work at Tire Rack (where they came from) so if you want a price pm me and I'll let you know

hehe. emailed the Lexus dealer today actually and the car hasn't shown up to the Chicago dist center yet. once that happens they can give me a VIN and tell me exactly when it will arrive. figure i'll have like a two day notice so timing will either be good or suck. on the 2nd they said it would prob be 2-3 weeks. arggg cant take it any longer! have mods in my garage waiting to be bolted on lol

Congrats on your new purchase!

I recently totalled my g35 sedan
I went everywhere and looked at everything...but in the end...it came down to the IS350 and the G35 Coupe.
The lexus interior is so nice...craftsman ship is...gotta admit, better than the G.
I got a killer deal too (actually got them down about 2k under sticker for a prem/Nav car).
In the end...it came down to the joy of driving. I have had auto with sport shift before....rowing the gears just really excites me (lol) So I went with an '06 6mt coupe with all the goodies (needless to say I got it at invoice)...but mark my words....once the 6spd IS350 comes out...I AM THERE

Congrats again!

Thanks sounds like you got a great deal on the G! was torn myself but thought I'd try something different. my wife really liked the looks and interior also so we went for it. getting the automatic didn't bother me too much really. my knee is so bad (only 27 yrs old for cripes sake!!) couldn't take the stick in my G for more than a couple days to work and back. so if i have surgery this will be a lot better way to go also.
