depending on what year you drive, you might not need it. I have an 04 5AT coupe and just got the spacer. Car feels much better at high rpms (over 4k).
You should do a search and you should be able to find more info.
If you can't go to the motordyne web site. Call them and ask questions because the guys there are very very helpful and I think there is a guy here on this forum from there. Search motordyne and you should be able to find him. Good luck.

Nightrider,
You can find our website at: http://www.motordyneengineering.com
See the G35 section. For your engine you can use either the Iso Thermal 5/16" or 1/2" plenum spacer.
If you track your car, get the 1/2". If you want to keep the engine cover and plan predominantly on improved street driving, get the 5/16".
If it snows in your area or gets really cold you will need the Copper Iso Thermal. The Copper is also good if you don't want to cut into the coolant line.
Check out the dyno page for dyno results and download the installation manual for more information on how it installs.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Tony
