Came home from a weekend in Tahoe to this. Taxi ran into it, sent it into another parked car 30 feet ahead, which sent that car up into a house's stairs. Still can't believe it. I must say that the cabin held up really well, not even a broken window.

Worst part was that there was a passenger in the cab, I sure hope he was buckled up. All I know was that both people were taken to the hospital.

Arrrrrgh!!!

I feel for you. What a nice thing to come home to.

Hopefully the cops won't give you a ticket because your mangled exhaust is sticking out into the red zone! :O

Sorry to hear about the incident.

damn that sux...and you better fight that parking ticket.

I got one for being 2 inches into the red because of the car behind me hanging over his parking lines...

johnadlertech Mar 9, 2006 01:59 PM

bummer. you should try to keep the Brembos if you are getting another G.

giddyup69 Mar 9, 2006 02:01 PM

that's f**ked up. i don't know what i would have done if i saw that when i came home. wonder what the cab's car looked like? that's some serious damage. hope everything works out for u.

Roddy2hottie Mar 9, 2006 02:03 PM

I am going to try and get them off, if possible. I guess it depends on what the insurance companies figure out. I don't even have a copy of the police report yet (cop has up to two weeks to turn it in). I was lucky enough to not get a street cleaning ticket on Monday, even the SF parking nazi's felt bad for me, I guess.

absolutg Mar 9, 2006 02:09 PM

damn that sucks! that damage looks so bad. i would have freaked out if i came back to my car looking like that. hopefully they will total the car and you can pick up a new one. this is yet another reason why i'm so hesitant to go up to SF (i live in south bay).

good luck and let us know how it goes!

JEVERYDAY Mar 9, 2006 02:12 PM

WOW Sorry to hear about your loss.

MikeyMike Mar 9, 2006 02:18 PM

Wow, thank god you weren't in the car when that happened. Sorry to see that.

ck700sl Mar 9, 2006 02:24 PM

Although its shocking, its not bad news. This exact thing happened to my 1st 03 coupe. Got the insurance money, which was a hefty sum cause the G keeps its value so well, and went right back and got an 05 coupe.

So to recap:

Bad News: Its an inconvenience & pain in the arse.

Good News: NEW CAR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 05:01 PM.
