A/f and different ECU years?
A/f and different ECU years?
Maybe it's just me, but i've noticed that coupes (and probably sedans and 350z) seem to be pulling greatly different a/fs. For example, i've seen some running intake+plenum+headers+test pipes+exhaust and their a/f ratio is pretty much dead-close to stock. On the other hand, i've seen stock people with just, say, intake and catback exhaust running a/fs close to 15-16.
I havn't really paid much attentino to it, but I'm wondering if maybe this couldn't be due to the different ECu mapping in different years? Kinda like how 03s arn't that sensitive ot test pipes so will rarely throw a SES?

I didn't know my A/F until I went FI. My only complaint is that in Drive when above 30mph when you left off the gas it leans all the way out until it down shifts and then kicks back to 14.8.
When in manumatic it will hold 14.8 while slowing down from highway speeds [sometimes leans out for a second before correcting]. No one else has ever said anything about it...
I guess what your asking could be plausible. I think alot of people once they do a few breather mods go ahead and get a reflash which may fix some of the issues your talking about.
