JPJ,

The article never mentioned that they removed the tires from the wheels, regardless of the price of their oil change and tire rotation. As a matter of fact, they made it a point to say that the front and rear wheels were different offsets, which would lead me to believe that they simply swapped the tires from side to side. Maybe they'll clear this up in the next issue or two.....

mpaule,

That link goes to an old update of their long-term G35coupe. I don't think they have the current update online yet.

MrElussive,

The rear tires are actually 245mm wide.

I think 50 bux is well worth the rotation. considering a whole new set of stock sized tires is about $1000.

At 9k I can see a lot of inner camber wear too.

Before I had the G I drove BMW's. BMW owners manuals recommend not rotating tires. You can get pulls and other issues as a result. The more precise the the suspension and steering is on a car, the more these issues maybe noticeable.
With 18" directional tires+ different size front and back, etc, on my G, I will do as I did on my BMW's and not rotate.
It is a trade-off between rotating cost and potential problems vs. a few extra miles out of the tires.
