invisicord just arrived

hey all,

just wanted to say thanks to teamspeed for some darn good service. got here earlier than i expected.

i got it about 2 minutes ago...and installed it under a minute. took me another minute to figure exactly where i wanted to place the v1. will post pics soon.

ahh...another mod done. now i have to feel the pain in waiting for the z tube/stillen airbox

Thanks to all for the business. I do get a few cases where I have to send a replacement due to the thin connectors breaking, etc. but I am trying my best to keep these types of issues down to a minimum. I am very happy to hear about the easy installations, my laziness to hardwire mine on the vette was the entire inspiration behind this cord!

This sounds great.... where can I get this invisicord and install instructions?

I tried googling Team Speed, but I couldn't find any direct hits...

the "invisi-cord" is REALLY easy to make for youself for the V1.

it's a regular telephone cord with a set of these on the primary pair:

http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=family

$2 if you have the phone cord..

$5 if you dont.

That is not what I am using, I am using connectors that can handle 24 guage wire, which is really small. Have you actually used these, or is it a plan at this point? I could always use back -up connector sources from time to time. Anybody that wants to make their own, please contact me, I am always willing to help.

I used this:

http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/Pro...ESC=205089%2D1

but the 18 gage connectors will work, but it'll be tight.

plus, it's not that much more and it's great to help out a member when the product/service is top notch quality

Great, thank you for the info, it may just prove useful when my current supplier dries up...

Hey, I does your radar detector turn on and off with the ignition when using the invisicord or do you have to manually turn off your radar?

it turns on and off with the ignition, so car on = radar on, car off = radar off
