Bumper paint job?

I have some minor damages to my rear bumper. I got a quote to have a tiny area ~ 1/2 inch sanded down and the entire bumper repainted for $579. Does that sound reasonable to you? The shop looks very professional.

Jeez

I'm here in Chi-Town and I have a gouge on my rear bumper (about 3 inches), a very good body shop in town said they would have to take off the bumper, repair the gouge, sand, prime, re-paint entire bumper, etc.

Bottom line $350

What color G do u have? I got quoted a similar price: I think some shops might charge more to mix a color that is harder to match. If they are overhauling the bumper and replacing new clips and such and it is quality work--I don't think that price is unreasonable. Where r u located? I would not recommend airbrusing that area for fear of overspray.

I got a quote for 500, but thats for some serious work, they have do do a lot of work b4 they paint it.

I had my stock front bumper custom urethane welded and completely repainted for not much more then they are charging you to paint. I would look elsewhere if it were me.

Thanks for the input guys. I am in New Orleans and I have an IP coupe so it will be hard to match. I will try to get some more quotes. I want it perfect!! Has anyone had their car done at Maico? I know it is cheap but scare of the quality.
