One day old Copue, need sound!
I have had it 8 hours. Love the car.
I have the 5AT with pretty much no options.
Not even a sunroof!!
The sound is my only complaint.
What is the easiest thing to do for under $500?

more sound? let's see... turn off the radio, open your windows...
but for under $500, I suggest a Basslink from Infinity... pretty good power for relatively low price

I take it you don't have the Bose system since you have no sunroof, but if you do, $500 will get you nowhere since the Bose system is already amplified, and their system is 2 ohm so you would have to replace EVERYTHING! If it's not Bose, get a 4ch amp for your mids and a bass tube if you can find something you like that you can afford.
If it's the stereo that you don't like, I agree. I don't understand why the Bose in the Infiniti sounds so much worse than the Bose in Acura's. The stereo in my G35C reminds me of my 1990 300ZX TT Bose. "No highs, no lows. Must be Bose!"

Yes we all can agree on that suggestion but for the meantime, he could get a nice pair of JL 10" W1, enclosure and a decent amp for less than $500. That'd be the first thing I'd get because regardless, he's gonna get it. Why wait for a couple of months for components when he could get bass now?

Sound is subjective..if he wants bass then he could definitely throw in a sub...but if he wants better sound quality then he'll need components.
