ok so i was at my local nissan dealership today cause i needed to get my keys reprogrammed for my g coupe...so i walked over to the show room floor to look at what they have displayed. ok so i go over to the 350z (rtune) and the sales guy approaches me...and i just ask what the difference is between the stock and the rtune and he tells me "oh about 23 whp"...i was like damn so i asked him what the actual mechanical difference was and he told me that it has a nismo cold air intake...i thought he was going to go on and tell me bout headers and exhaust and so on..but that was it...just the nismo cold air intake...so i called his bull**** and told him that there was no way a cold air intake could produce 23 hp to the wheels..and he told me that it does and he has the dyno to prove it...so im gonna go back tomorrow and see what he shows me...just thought id share...oh and he told me that the stock 350z exhaust is true dual and the "wimpy ***" (his words) g35 exhaust isnt...and that the rtune CAI makes the car a lot quiter than stock...

350z exhaust is a true dual? wtf. last time i checked, the Z's also had y-pipes like our cars. this guy is just blowing smoke. be sure you laugh at him hard for all of us when his dyno doesn't show a 23 rwhp increase from stock. make sure he does a stock to upgraded dyno compare though. dynoing just the upgraded car proves nothing because the dyno itself may be miscalibrated.

Any apples to apples comparison is going to show this guy is full of you know what. Aren't sales people supposed to actually know about the car?

Then again, I remember when I was looking at the Z that I knew more about the car than the sales guy.

I know you wanted to share and I'm glad you did, but if I were you, I would have just let him flap his gums and let it be. They are "Salesmen", which means they'll try and *sale* you anything, and do whatever it takes to do so. That's there job. Really weither you believe in it or not, that's what they do man ==> Blow Smoke and Spin Tall Tales. If it equals a sale at the end of the day, for them it's Miller Time. LMAO.
