Skyline?

What's the significance/meaning of the "skyline" emblem that I see on some G35's?

You must be new to the G35 community. Skyline is the name of this NISSAN in Japan. Some like to put the JDM badging on their cars.

He meant to ask why are they doing a half-assed job rebadging the car

The steering wheel is a bit more involved, as the steering wheel cover cannot be ordered by itself - it won't match the USDM one. You will need to order the whole steering wheel assembly ($$$). Once you are done with that, you can continue with the following:

- Door kick plates
- New leather interior with Nissan stitches
- Get rid of the analog clock

I guess I'm one of those cheap a$$ lazy owners. I just got rid of the trunk badges and put SKYLINE AND 350GT emblems. Mt. Fuji is gone as well.

i current just have the Skyline and 350 GT with kickplates (Valentines gift). reason i switched them over is cause when the car was thought up, it was meant to be a evolution of the Skyline. but then they screwed it all up and changed the name. imo

Exactly.. I mean.. most people don't tint their front windows where I live.. so if I'm walking by a G35 in a parking lot.. I'm going to see a Nissan emblem on the grill and Mt Fuji on the leather seats? I just think that would look SO silly

a lot of people switch their badges. my friend had an acura TL and changed them to a honda inspire (JDM), evolution VIII badges on teh Evo's, honda integra on a acura rsx -- it's all about going for the JDM style. i saw a G35 coupe w/ nissan logos on teh seat, steering wheel, grille, rear, etc. which looked good -- if he did the right hand drive conversion then i would give him all the props in the world

Yea I thought about doing that.Didn't think is was worth the cost.So I just covered up the wheel, besides it matches the rest of the interior well.I don't know if this is true, but I heard that not all the controlls work with new wheel ?

Its all about making it look like its something more unqiue. I would imagine its fun watching people stare blankly at the car and go huh? skyline? I personally like the Infiniti Logo's; although I think they should have called it something other than "G35..."
