Hi everyone. I put in Sillen CAI, Z-tube and MRev+ for a few weeks now. Everything fine (not sure if those mods are related). Last 2 days, when i start the car, after a few seconds i hear a strange loud CLICK, like someone throwing something against a rock sound. Everything else normal after (aside from noisy tranny). Going to open the hood and try and listen for the sound while someone starts the car.

In meantime searched and all threads i see have strange noises when moving, axle noise etc....

Anyone experience this after starting the car when not moving?

I am not sure if it's related to cold weather (I doubt it)....

 

is your car a six speed?


if so, i got it too haha like some other posts said, it sounds like rocks in a can being shaken. i only get it sometimes i.e when it's really cold.

 

yep 6mt....yeah that's sort of how to describe it. it goes away after right? just trying right now...cannot reproduce. I think it may be cold related too. But damn man i never got this sound before....only started yesterday

 

1.I think this has been discussed before, but I get one loud knock as the engine cranks over. It only happens when car is cold, but sometimes when I start I don't hear it.
2.The rattling sound from underneath the car when the car is idling comes from the clutch. If the sound stops as you press the clutch, than it's normal, as far as I understand it.
