I did a search and didn't find any ideas how/where to add more lights to my 04 G coupe. Want to try to avoid a close encounter with a deer if possible
Any ideas or photos or links to threads are appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

You can get a set of ultrasonic whistles and mount them behind the grill so they can't be seen, but make sure they are still directly in the airflow coming thru the grill.
Some people call BS on the ultrasonics, but you have to remember they are not designed to make deer and animals run away from your vehicle, the whistles are supposed to make them stop, look, and listen

Living in the Texas hill country and West Texas most of my life, deer have always been an issue. I'll say that the deer whistles 'work' as advertised. They certainly freak the deer out. The problem is, at 55-70MPH, your vehicle reaches them before they scramble. I was behind a vehicle for 20 miles with these whistles, on a notriously deer-filled highway. Every group acted abnormally by darting at the last minute. After passing the truck and getting some distance between us, the deer were their normal, look-up-but-stand-still selves for the next 15 miles.
The rule of thumb has always been No drastic change in engine speed. Any last-minute changes that add to the spooky nature of blinding lights will tend to make them move. In general, they're relatively used to cars (except the young ones), so they expect them to just go by. There are always exceptions, but try this method and you'll find that the rule of thumb is correct. You're tendency is to jump off the gas when you see a deer, which is why deer tend to scramble when you come along. Any throttle and breaking should be light and subtle... ...unless you're trying to avoid an immediate collision.
For those with whistles, don't you notice that the deer run when you approach?
Deer collisions are common around here and any bodyshop will have a car in for just that. You have to wonder why so many of those have deer whistles on them.

You need a deer whistle, lights only help when you about to hit the damn thing, the whistle will scare it off when your hundreds of yards away and still cant see it.
This is just one site, there are hundreds;

I'm telling you, I always wondered why so many deer collisions involved vehicles with whistles, and that night I mentioned above was the perfect side-by-side comaparison. Heading toward Brady Texas (one of the worlds top locations for hunting white-tail), that 40-mile stretch of roadside (Hwy 71) is littered with 150-250 deer from 10pm-3am. VERY tense drive, but perfect grounds to determine a difference in reactions.
Whistles make them scramble every time, while keeping your engine sound, etc. pretty constant generally won't spook them to the point of running. They just stare at the lights... ...unless you're passing within 10-15 feet of them.
Get the lights so you see them earlier, but pass on the whistles. Or, install the whistles as well for a while and then remove them to see for yourself. The added lighting should make their reactions clear.
